Down Under (Album: Brazil, 1997/1998)

Recorded live in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1996, released in the 1998 live album "Brazil" (originally named as "Brazil '96", when released in South America).

It's a Men at Work record but only Colin Hay (lead vocals and rythm guitar) and Greg Ham (vocals, saxophone, flute, keyboards, harmonica) are from the original formation of the band.

The other musicians are Simon Hosford (lead guitar, vocals), Stephen Hadley (bass and vocals) and John Watson (drums and vocals).

This version has a samba into the middle and a flute solo that brings back to third verse of the song.

"Down Under" was composed by Colin Hay & Ron Strykert.

I just counted 10 different versions of "Down Under" on my iPod, but this one has always been one of my favorites, mostly because of Greg's extended flute solo. (BTW, nine of the versions I have are by Colin/MAW, of course, but I also have an interesting rendition by a band called April Moon that I like a lot.)
